A Bit of Country in Tri-Cities

If you want to get a taste of the country we know a fun, and overall awesome place to check out. One of our favorite places in Pasco, Washington is Country Mercantile and we recommend all guests of Sleep Inn Pasco check it out when they stay with us. The fields, red barn and farm atmosphere make it fun for the family and people of all ages.

Stop by the Country store to check out their absolutely delicious, gourmet chocolates such as almond chocolate bark, pralines, truffles and more. They also sell a wide range of gourmet food; their jams, jellies and dressings are to die for. We have yet to find one thing there that isn’t worth eating again! Fresh fruit is also grown and sold at the Country Mercantile. They have a handy calendar on their website that lets you know what fruits or vegetables are in season.

If you want a more in depth experience, Country Mercantile also offers tours of their chocolate factory! To set up a tour call 509-545-2192 and ask for Niki or Monique.

The next time you’re in Tri-Cities you will definitely want to add a visit to Country Mercantile to your itinerary!

Candy Lover’s Paradise

Tri-Cities, WA has always been a hybrid of the old and new. While incredibly modern in some aspects, there is also an air of nostalgia to the place as well. This is one of the reasons we at Sleep Inn Pasco are delighted to be located where we are. If you have a sweet tooth like we do, and you also have a twinge of nostalgia, we know of a great place to stop on your Tri-Cities visit.

Baum’s House of Chocolate is a favorite amongst locals and visitors alike. Family owned Baum’s House of Chocolate has been around since 1981. Keeping to tradition, much of the chocolate and candy sold at Baum’s is homemade with love and care. Perhaps this is why Baum’s was voted #1 in The Chocolate Lovers Guide to the Pacific Northwest.

Their gourmet chocolate isn’t the only thing Baum’s has to offer. They also offer a wide range of nostalgic candy and soda from years past. These timeless favorites are still just as delicious as you remember and the memories they will bring back when you eat them are just as sweet.

The next time you stay with us and find yourself yearning for the past or simply yearning for some chocolate we recommend Baum’s House of Chocolate. You won’t be disappointed!

Flower Season Is Every Season

It’s that time of year again where flowers seem to be on everybody’s shopping lists. Between graduations, end of year recitals, and a number of performances right here in Tri-Cities, giving bouquets of flowers is almost a given.

Oftentimes our guests plan on purchasing their bouquets once they arrive but want to present the recipient with something a little more special than flowers from the supermarket. This is where Richland’s Buds…and Blossoms, Too comes in.

Buds…and Blossoms, Too is one of Tri-Cities go-to’s for your flower needs. You can order your bouquets online or you can stop in at their florist shop off of Jadwin St. and hand-pick your bouquet. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the quality is unprecedented. On top of their affordable prices and beautiful creations, Buds…and Blossoms, Too is family owned and operated, making the customer service rival the impressiveness of their bouquets.

So, whether you’re attending a graduation, performance, birthday or something else, we recommend getting your flowers from our local Buds…and Blossoms, Too! You will not be disappointed.
